Account information: your name, email address, and role within the Service. Case information you provide: the state and approximate year of your case, case types and outcomes, and any details you voluntarily enter during onboarding or follow-up questions. Uploaded documents: court records or other files you choose to upload for AI-powered analysis. Usage information: how you interact with the Service (pages viewed, features used) collected through analytics. Contact preferences: optional phone number and notification settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) generate your qualified educational summary and action plan; (b) prepare documents you request; (c) send notifications you choose; (d) maintain the Service; and (e) provide support. If you separately request professional contact, we use the limited information described below to make that referral.
4. AI Processing of Your Documents
When you upload a document for in-depth analysis, our AI systems process its contents to identify applicable statutes, eligibility criteria, and procedural requirements. Document contents are used solely to generate your analysis and are not used to train public AI models or shared with other users.
5. Data Storage and Security
All personal information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored on secured infrastructure with strict access controls. Only you can view, manage, or delete your cases and documents from your Settings page. We apply industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Sharing
We do not share case or contact information with a professional unless you affirmatively request professional contact and accept the referral disclosure. The selected professional may first receive a limited case summary including state, year, record type, and case categories. Contact information is released after the professional accepts and purchases the lead. Professionals pay Fresh Start Justice for accepted leads; this payment and the information shared are disclosed before you consent. We also share data with service providers operating the Service under confidentiality obligations, or when legally required.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time from your Settings page, including deleting individual cases and uploaded documents. You may opt out of email notifications at any time. You may request full deletion of your account data by contacting support.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service to you. If you delete a case, document, or your account, associated data is removed from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Children's Privacy
Fresh Start Justice is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Records referenced in the Service (such as juvenile records) are discussed only in their legal context.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
